Corrie is a nurse in Kansas on the progressive care unit. She takes care of a wide variety of patients, cardiac/respiratory/renal/neuro. She graduated May 2008, and is finding the second year much less terrifying than the first. She loves her job... love the experiences, love the opportunities.
RaDonna is a nurse in the emergency department in Florida. She graduated in May of 2009 and is learning new things every single day at work! She loves the excitement and variety of the ED but is still trying to find her confidence and is looking forward to the day when she won't be terrified of going to work.
Corrie and RaDonna have been friends since 8th grade. They helped each other get through high school, nursing school and most recently taking the first few steps into adulthood. Despite living 1227.84 miles apart, their friendship has remained strong and is sure to last until they are old and senile. And then they will become new friends!
In the medical field there is this thing called HIPPA. It is something every employee and volunteer has to sit through hours-long lectures about and patients are handed gobs of paperwork about. So, know this: no identifying information is used in this blog. We change details, numbers, ages. We combine experiences and tell it as one story. Nothing here is related to any one person... nothing can be tied back to any one patient. Enjoying reading!
